Hometown: Narberth, Pennsylvania
Degree program, JTS: Diploma of Hazzan and Master of Sacred Music
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies, Music (Voice Performance), Brandeis University
After JTS (I plan to) . . . work as a cantor and educator in a Conservative congregation.
Extracurricular/cocurricular activities: Zamir Chorale (New York); music director, Camp Ramah in the Poconos
Favorite class at JTS: Scales, Modes, Motifs with Dr. Boaz Tarsi. This class has given me a solid theoretical basis in Jewish prayer music that will ground me as I complete the H. L. Miller Cantorial School curriculum.
Best JTS experience: My roommates and neighbors in Goldsmith Residence Hall have been a supportive community in my intellectual, social, and spiritual growth.
Three favorite things about living in New York City: Access to Jewish cultural events that occur only here; reconnecting with old friends who also find themselves here; and high-quality kosher meat restaurants.
