The Rebecca and Israel Ivry Prozdor of The Jewish Theological Seminary is excited to partner with the National Ramah Commission and the Ramah Israel Seminar to offer an online course: Not Your Parents' Israel Education Class: Using Social Media, Technology, and History to Make Your Seminar Experience Awesome, taught by Dana Levinson, to participants on the 2014 Ramah Israel Seminar.
In this class we will:
–Give you the most unique, interesting, and meaningful educational tools to better your Seminar experience.
–Utilize social media, technology, and interactive platforms to bring your Israel education experience to life.
–Give YOU a voice when it comes to the Israel experience.
–Measure your comfort and success with Israel education through personal and meaningful projects.
Dana Levinson is the Assistant Director of Reshet Ramah: Alumni and Community Engagement and is thrilled to return to the classroom for this exciting opportunity! After graduating from McGill University, Dana taught history and Jewish studies at the American Hebrew Academy in Greensboro, NC, and recently received her Masters degree in Jewish Experiential Education from the Davidson School at JTS. She also studied Religion and Sociology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Diversity Education at David Yellin College in Jerusalem. In her spare time, this New Jersey native is a black belt in useless trivia, a connoisseur of deep fried foods, and an amateur photographer and food blogger.
