Dr. Joshua Halberstam is the author of Work: Making a Living and Making a Life (Putnam/Penguin), among other popular books on philosophy and ethics. He is currently an adjunct professor at Teachers College, Columbia University and at BCC of City University, and has taught philosophy at the New School and New York University (where he received a PhD in Philosophy).
Dr. Halberstam has also had an extensive career in the private sector, working as an entrepreneur and in corporate marketing campaigns. He lectures at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and other leading campuses on work-related issues and has led seminars on leadership for a wide array of organizations (among them, the New York Public Library). He appears frequently on national television and radio as a discussant on cultural and ethical issues.
