Cantorial School Student Organization

The Cantorial School Student Organization (CSSO) plays several roles. A social, philanthropic, and educational body for cantorial students, it hosts concerts and parties and contributes to JTS-wide programs and charitable events. The CSSO also serves as an advocate for its students and works together with the faculty to enhance the H. L. Miller Cantorial School curriculum. In addition, the CSSO serves as a liaison to the wider JTS community by offering supplemental programming for cantorial and noncantorial students, including lectures and workshops on hazzanut, Jewish music, and professional skills for clergy.

The CSSO also seeks to encourage and enhance the spiritual atmosphere of JTS by bringing to the JTS community the musical talents and love of tefillah of H. L. Miller Cantorial School.
