Meet The Graduate School Administration
Shuly Rubin Schwartz is the Irving Lehrman Research Associate Professor of American Jewish History and dean of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies at The Jewish Theological Seminary.
A third-generation JTS graduate and an alumna of The Graduate School, Dean Schwartz hopes to further strengthen academic Jewish studies at JTS while preparing students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels to take on leadership roles in their careers and volunteer work in both the Jewish and secular realms.
Anna Serviansky is assistant dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies. Dean Serviansky holds her master's degree from the William Davidson Graduate School of Jewish Education, where she focused on experiential education. She received her bachelor's degree in History and Judaic Studies, magna cum laude, from Brown University, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is also a recipient of the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. After receiving her JD from Georgetown University Law Center and practicing real estate law at two New York City firms, Dean Serviansky is delighted to return to her passion of Jewish education.
