Key Terms

  • Adjusted Gross Income (AGI): Income from all taxable sources (gross income) that is adjusted by subtracting tax deductions allowable on your tax return.

  • Cost of Attendance: The total cost of attending school for one academic year.

  • Estimated Family Contribution (EFC): The amount of money you and your family are expected to contribute to your education for the year.

  • Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): You must fill out the FAFSA form to determine your family's expected contribution and eligibility for need-based financial assistance. List College's federal school code is 002740.

  • Student Aid Report (SAR): The results of the FAFSA that are sent to the student for review and corrections, if needed.

  • Grant: An award that does not need to be paid back.

  • Merit Award: A gift based on a student's academic achievement or demonstrated talent.

  • November 30: Early decision financial aid applications are due.
  • January 1: Applications are available on the financial aid page.
  • March 1: Financial aid deadline for the following year.
