The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) and the Center for Jewish Studies at CUNY Queens College are cohosting a discussion led by Arnold M. Eisen, chancellor of JTS, entitled “Toward a Jewish Theology of Pluralism.” The conversation will be followed by a panel of Queens College students from the Center for Ethnic, Racial, and Religious Understanding.

The event will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. in the Student Union on the fourth floor of Queens College, which is located at 65-30 Kissena Boulevard in Flushing, New York. The program is free and open to the public. Kosher coffee and refreshments will be served.

Arnold M. Eisen, one of the world's foremost experts on American Judaism, is the seventh chancellor of JTS. Since his appointment in 2007, he has increased JTS's impact on the communities it serves by transforming the education of religious leadership for Conservative Judaism; articulating a new vision for JTS; guiding the formulation of a strategic plan to implement that vision; and developing innovative programs in synagogue arts and practices, adult education, pastoral care, Jewish thought, interreligious dialogue, and the arts. Chancellor Eisen has become a leading voice for Judaism and the "vital religious center" of North America.
