The Rebecca and Israel Ivry Prozdor High School of The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) will hold an open house from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at JTS, 3080 Broadway (at 122nd Street), New York City.
Ivry Prozdor serves students in grades seven through twelve from all Jewish religious and educational backgrounds from the New York metropolitan area. Students are energetic, enthusiastic, curious, and in search of a Jewish education that sparks their imaginations. As an elective-based program, there are no prerequisites; all that is required of students is a commitment to Jewish learning that addresses their specific intellectual and spiritual interests and the willingness to study and socialize with like-minded people.
Unique to Ivry Prozdor is the opportunity to study with JTS faculty and graduate students. The academic nature of the program reflects well on college applications and students' experiences often add to their continued commitment to pursue Jewish studies in their college years.
Classes meet on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at JTS; the Bergen County branch meets on Tuesday evenings at Temple Israel, Ridgewood, New Jersey, and on Sunday mornings at JTS.
