Welcome to The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary. We at The Library are committed to helping you take advantage of one of the greatest collections of Judaica in the world. There is literally not a subject of Jewish interest that you cannot study or research here, and there are many areas of Jewish concern that you cannot do a complete job of exploring without taking advantage of our collection. We want to make sure that your experience with our resources is as simple and seamless as possible.

In addition to our many on-site materials—including hundreds of thousands of books, manuscripts, archival documents, recordings, and pieces of Jewish art—you will find an ever-greater quantity of our materials available to you online. From links to other sites (our presence online often takes advantage of partnerships) to documents and images in our own digital library, you will find that you will often be able to do your research without actually visiting us. But visit us just the same. There is nothing like standing in the midst of the vast evidence of Jewish historical genius to inspire one to express her or his own genius.
