The Music Collection comprises books on Jewish music, more than 4,000 sound recordings (records, tapes, and compact discs), and more than 4,000 musical scores, including hazzanut (cantorial music), Yiddish sheet music, and cantorial music manuscripts and the Music Archives.
Access to the music collection is through the catalog. Sound recordings can be listened to in the Helen and Norman Asher Audio-Visual Center. The Solomon Rosovsky Field Recordings are available through the Digital Collection.
The music collection is located in the Sabin Family Music Library on the second floor of The Library. Access to restricted materials is through the circulation desk. Access to the Music Archives is by appointment in the Special Collections Reading Room.
