How can I get reference assistance?

Reference assistance is available in person, via email, or via phone at (212) 678-8081. Research guides are available in print or electronically.

When is reference assistance in person available?

Sunday: Noon to 7:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (or JTS closing time)

For reference assistance with our Music Library, audiovisual materials, or microform materials, it is recommended that you make an appointment in advance by calling (212) 678-8836.
