Fellowship Information for Full-Time Doctoral Students

Students may receive a fellowship that will cover all tuition costs for up to three years, and may also receive a living stipend, half of which is paid at the beginning of each semester, for up to five years. To be considered full-time, students are required to take at least 12 courses each semester until on-site coursework is completed. The Davidson School does not pay for fees, special tuition and registration categories, or penalties for late registration.

  • Students are required to provide information about any other funding they receive for the period of the fellowship. The Davidson School reserves the right to adjust the amount of the award based upon other grants you may receive.
  • Students are required to devote an average of eight hours per week to various research and service projects designed to further their graduate education.
  • Permission from the dean of The Davidson School is required if a student intends to seek employment during his or her term as a Davidson School fellow. Failure to obtain such permission may jeopardize the fellowship.
  • A student's fellowship may be renewed for up to three years, provided the student remains in good standing. Students should consult the website for specific grade requirements regarding academic standing and academic probation.
