New York Metropolitan-Area Development Office

The New York Metropolitan-Area Development Office encompasses New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Housed within the walls of 3080 Broadway, the New York office is in a unique position to utilize the resources of JTS for the benefit of our growing community of supporters.

From such annual high-profile events as the Chancellor's Council Sukkot Dinner and the Louis Marshall Award Dinner to intimate study groups and social gatherings, we strive to illuminate the many facets of JTS for our consitituency.


The New York Metropolitan-Area Team

Bonnie Gitlin Biondi, Director, Principal Gifts

Bonnie has over fourteen years of experience in educational and hospital fund-raising, from Hadassah and New York Weill Cornell Medical Center to Teachers College, Columbia University. She has served on the board of Women in Development, New York.

She was educated at Brown University, where she studied Religion as an undergrad. Prior to her career in development, Bonnie worked in the mental health field for eight years. She has a master's degree in Psychology from The New School.

Lucy Posner, Director, Principal Gifts

Lucy Posner joined The Jewish Theological Seminary after serving as the executive director of Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation. For many years, Ms. Posner was a volunteer and leader at Hadassah, where she served as a regional vice president and became involved in development and fund-raising. She also taught Hebrew school classes, prekindergarten through high school, in many religious institutions throughout Nassau County.

Ms. Posner holds a bachelor's degree from CUNY Brooklyn College, and is a devoted supporter of the Conservative Movement.

Gwynne Wicks, Director, Principal Gifts

Gwynne Wicks has spent more than twenty years in the fields of development, Jewish communal service, and nonprofit administration. Before joining The Jewish Theological Seminary in 2007, she was the assistant director of development for the JCC Association of North America. In addition, she held positions at Mid-Island Jewish Community Center, UJA-Federation of New York, and the Hebrew Home in Riverdale, New York.

Ms. Wicks is an alumnus of Yeshiva University, where she earned a master's degree in Social Work and a certificate in Jewish Communal Service. She also holds a master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. A member of the Huntington Jewish Center, Ms. Wicks considers being a Conservative Jew and serving the Jewish community to be core values.
