For Giving Tuesday, Give to Our Spaces Campaign!
Posted on Nov 23, 2020
You can make Giving Tuesday, December 1, meaningful for Torah Fund by making a contribution to our Creating New Spaces campaign. This special campaign is geared to provide spaces touching on the spiritual and physical needs of our students through two unique projects you can support:
- A new area in the Undergraduate Residence Hall at the Jewish Theological Seminary, recently renovated by world-renowned architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, called the Women’s League Study Space. Designed to support new technology, with zones for study and socializing, this area will feature access for those with physical challenges and state-of-the-art kitchen facilities with an environment-friendly focus.
- A new program at Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies on gender bias and harassment, initiated by Rabbi Cheryl Peretz, to help students identify issues of gender and harassment wherever they may encounter them. Students will be trained in how to handle these situations – whether in the workplace, synagogue, school, summer camp, or wherever their rabbinic work takes them.
Our goal is to raise $200,000 for our Spaces campaign; we’ve already realized nearly $60,000 and hope you will give December 1 – or even sooner!
