Israeli Reporters Visit JTS

Five Israeli reporters from the Nefesh B’Nefesh press delegation visited JTS this week. While in New York City to cover a new olim flight, they also took the opportunity to visit various Jewish institutions, gaining insights into the American Jewish community

Jeffrey S. Kress, Provost of JTS and the Dr. Bernard Heller Professor of Jewish Education, welcomed them with an overview of JTS’s history and significance, and Rabbi Joel Seltzer, vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement, provided a tour of JTS’s campus. Dr. Marcus Mordecai Schwartz, Assistant Professor, Talmud and Rabbinics, wrapped things up with a visit to JTS’s Rare Book Room, sharing special artifacts from the collection.

The group was comprised of Avichai Ivgui, Nefesh B’Nefesh; Efrat Forsher, Israel Hayom; Daniel Cohen, Walla; Natalie Metoko, Kan 11 News; and Yuval Segev, Galei Tzahal Radio.
