Columbia University Students Can Now Spend Their Dining Dollars at JTS’s Kosher Café

The JTS cafe now accepts Flex as part of the Columbia Dining program. Flex, a dollar-for-dollar declining balance account, allows Columbia students, faculty and staff to add funds to as needed. Through this special partnership with Columbia, JTS is proud to offer hot, kosher food to the Columbia community. The JTS Cafe has always been open to the public, but the idea behind adding it to the Flex plan came after conversations with Columbia’s leadership.
Chancellor Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz shared her enthusiasm about the partnership: “After the challenging year that we had last year, in one of many conversations that I had with Columbia leadership, we kind of revived this idea of what would it be to provide another space for Jewish students — in particular, their students who want kosher food — to have a space to be together, to eat where dining dollars would be accepted.”
